We have been anxiously waiting to start Adam’s last round of chemo (cycle 8). It’s taken him a lot longer to recover this time, so he hasn’t been ready to start therapy yet. He was supposed to start chemo 2 weeks ago but wasn’t fully recovered from the last cycle (cell counts still too low). So we waited another week, but he was still not ready. We just got confirmation from the doctor that he will start his last round of chemo TODAY. Even though his counts are low, they are acceptable to start chemo. Today’s chemo is only a 1-day cycle, but it will be several hours.
Over the next 2 months Adam will have a series of scans and tests to confirm the cancer is completely gone, and determine whether more chemo or a biopsy is needed.
Adam has been eating well and enjoys eating solid foods now! He’s now 18.5 lbs and 13 months old. He has also taken his first few steps as of yesterday, which is so exciting for us! Below is a short video.
We wouldn’t be able to get through all this without your continued prayers and support. A million thanks ?.

We rejoice with you with his first steps and praying for this time to be his last chemo! So comforting knowing that the Lord is with us on the mountain and in the valley. He never leaves us but carry us throughout the afflictions. May the Lord grace you both daily and keep you in Him!
Love that little dimple in his left cheek! Praying for this final round and for the scans to show no more cancer!!

So much love in your home. Your voices, Adam’s complete trust and need to be held by his Daddy upon this great moment of achievement, and his Mommy’s warm delight filming Adam’s first steps, tell the story of love in a family. Every milestone in the future will be deeply felt, as the miracle of Adam’s world continues. Adam is charismatic, a natural, and a delightful child. All the best during today’s last chemo. I know Adam will respond with continued improved health and growth. There is no stopping Adam. He is a fighter who is surrounded by infinite love.
Go, Adam, GO!!!!! We love you, little boy! We are so proud of you- what a strong and brave fighter you have been! Praying for positive results over the next several weeks.
He is adorable. I’m so happy for you
