Back at the ER…

Posted on August 11, 2018, 10:54 PM by Hannah

This morning at around 11:00 am, Adam spiked a fever of 101.5F. So we immediately brought him into the ER to check. They drew blood cultures to check if there is any infection in his central line. Then they administered Tylenol and antibiotics immediately after.

Since Adam is neutropenic (immunity almost zero) and has a fever, he has been admitted into the hospital. We will be here until the blood cultures come back negative for infection, his fever goes away and his immunity starts increasing.

Just when we thought we were “in the clear” since he just finished his last round of chemo (as far as we know now). Sigh.

Please keep us in your prayers. Adam’s fever went away shortly after receiving Tylenol this afternoon, but just tonight around 9:30 pm it seemed his temperature was on the rise again.

Saints, Mel had fever and rushed to ER quite few times. Tylenol and resting was enough for her. After 24 hours without fever she was released. Fever is something that happens with the immunity that low. Rest in the Lord! We will be praying for you all!!

Oh, Lord Jesus! We continue to offer Adam unto You. You are His Great Physician. Lord, cover Adam with Your precious redeeming blood. We trust in You and not in man. May You rule and reign over Adam’s health and the care for his parents. You have said that all things work for good. May their suffering not be in vain. We love them and stand one with them in prayer and in spirit. Much grace to you three! <3
